The People of the Fulbe Tribe also referred to as Fulla, Fulani or Peulh are widely spread along West and Central Africa. It is estimated that there are between 30 – 50 million people who speak one of the diverse dialect of the Fulbe language. Countries in which the Fulbe are found include among others  Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Benin, Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Chad. Due to the diversity of the area in which they live and due to the close relationship with a large number of other tribes, the Fulbe do possess a rich cultural heritage.

The Fulbe Union (Baden-Württemberg) e. V., a registered non-profit making association, was established in 2013, with the main idea of helping to familiarize our host citizens in particular and the world community at large with the Fulbe culture. The official seat of the association is in Stuttgart, in the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg. Members of the union are however scattered along the entire state of Baden-Württemberg.
